Campus Resources

College of Charleston has a few additional alternative transportation options available to getting around campus and the surrounding cities. More information can be found at the following pages:

  • Grice Shuttle provides students with reliable transportation to get to/from Grice Marine Lab located at Fort Johnson. Due to COVID-19, the shuttle service has been temporarily suspended for the fall 2020 semester.

Heading home for break? Or coming back to Charleston?

Consider using Amtrak or Greyhound Bus services!
  • While taking the train takes quite a bit longer to reach your destination, not only is it better for the environment, but it’s also considerably cheaper! Amtrak also offers passengers the option to inexpensively offset the carbon emissions generated by their trip.
  • Using a cross-country bus service, such as Greyhound, is another great alternative to flying. Greyhound Buses are cheaper than traveling by train and airplane.
